just in case you didnt know we went to a wedding in france this past july and it was quite the event. it was in a small little town in the east of france, near switzerland, with flowing rivers and huge mountains as the landscape. it was quite the adventure to get there from paris, where we landed and stayed a few nights. you first train to lyon and then catch the direct train to bourg st maurice. well, we got to lyon okay and had a bit of a lay over if you will. we decided to get some lunch and then look around and then catch the train. we are not very good at understanding the culture of trains and how you shouldn’t arrive at the platform while its leaving! needless to say, we missed the last direct train to bsm and had to wait another two hours to take the local train that stops at every stop. in the end it worked out and we did manage to get to bsm and the local train gave us a better feel for the french country side. things seem to work out…(most of the time!)
