What a game. I was nervous but still always believed! I watched it with a few friends and we were going crazy. How could you not. Way to go Canada way to go Lou!

O Zone and the Cauldron
With it being the last Saturday of the olympics, we decided to head out see a few more things. We went to the o zone and saw what it had to offer. It wasn’t but it wasn’t great. We did see Kevin martin wi. Gold there. After din er we headed out to robson street. I thought we missed it but we actually got there in time for the show. After we headed down to the cauldron. It’s pretty cool and really large. I would have to say the we personally really enjoyed the olympics and all the cheer it provided. Go Canada go in the big hockey game tomorrow.
Sam Roberts Band and Coeur De Pirate
We are in the line for livecity yaletown right now. It’s suppose to be a hour and a half wait to get in. Allison went to get food while I move with the line. A couple skipped the line and just joined infront of us.
Update Allison got food and then they wouldn’t let her back on line. She joined with some ransoms and got in right after me. The arkells are on right now. Not a bad little rock band.
Update 2. We are now watching coeur. She is really fin but kinda slow moving music. Very French sounding. Duh!
Update 3. We met up with my cousins after watching a fun performance by srb. We watched the fireworks and water show, wandered yaletown, settled at the keg for some drinks and to catch up. I would say all in all a great night.
Canada vs the swiss
Finally here after waiting to get in. Canada just got off the ice and we are waitin for puck drop. I super pumped about this!
update: that was a lot closer than it should of been. great place, great atmosphere, great outcome (for the most part!)
Czech vs slovaks
We are at the Slovaks vs Czech game at gm place. The atmosphere is electric. Hopefully it will be a good game. And of course we are rooting for a Slovak win!
Livecity yaletown
We are watching malajube right now on stage at livecity yaletown. We got in pretty quickly, about a 20 minute line up and were in. There are things to see and music and we watched the awards ceremony. Malajube opened for Matisyahu and he is the reason we came down. Allison loves his Jewish rhymes. Make sure you come out and see the free Olympic stuff!!!
ps…that hockey player is matisyahu at a charity game. he is from brooklyn, i think!
Francophone party s’il vous plait
I am at performance works to see a free show right now. Misteur Valarie I think. We wandered down to Granville island and followed the crowd of young french hipsters. Hopefully the crowd is right. Go absorb some fun free Olympic events.
a mish mash of stuff

1st off…pitchfork has released a top 500 tracks of the 2000′s collection
can you believe that the 2000′s are almost over…just think about the y2k scare…it wasnt that long ago!
2nd…pearl jam has a new single, the fixer, and now they have a video out for it. it was shot by cameron crowe. not a bad little vid, just like seeing them live!
3rd…well hockey is upon us again. the mens olympic team camp is in calgary this week. they get started today and i am sure that there is going to be a lot of media coverage…
and apparently the canucks are close to signing Mathieu Schnider is close to signing with the canucks on a one year deal…interesting…very interesting
