Just in time for the new season, Nike have produced a new piece celebrating 125 years of Arsenal. Can’t wait, that is unless that games are postponed because of whats going on in London right now! Hopefully they can fulfill some of promise that they showed last year. They need some strong headed leaders on the pitch ala Tony Adams or Patrick Vieira and then we will be alright. Never doubt Wenger!

Arsenal revealed their new strip for the 2010-11 campaign and, as revealed earlier on FSC, they are going back to the 70′s, with an environmentally-friendly twist.
Arsene Wenger’s side will return to the familiar and popular block red body with a white round neck collar and white sleeves, and every shirt is made entirely from recycled polyester crafted from up to eight plastic water bottles as part of Nike’s ‘Considered Design’ programme.
The Dri-Fit fabric is claimed to be 13 per cent lighter than previous kits
Theo Walcott, said: “The colours are very traditional, it feels nice and it’s made from recycled plastic bottles so what more can you ask for?”
Arsenal FC has officially launched its Nike 2010/11 away kit. While the yellow reflects the Gunners’ past, the redcurrant pinstripes and cuff style sleeves echo design features further back in the Club’s heritage to its Woolwich Arsenal days. The reverse of the club badge on shirts reveals the motto ‘Victoria Concordia Crescit’, which translates as ‘Victory Through Harmony’, while redcurrant shorts and yellow socks complete the look.
today was the opening of the canada line. it might of taken almost 3 years to build and lot of people and buisness faced crazy hardships but i think that it was a step in the right direction. if you go to other major cities around the world, they have something similar to this. the biggest thing is that it connects downtown to the airport with a direct route finally. having just come back from europe, i cant tell you how helpful it was being able to train in charles de gualle airport into paris or take the train out to the airport in rome. it makes a hell of a difference! now vancovuers time has come. i hope to jump on an take a whirl sometime soon! see what its really like!
on another note. i mentioned earlier that canada was to unveil a new hockey jersey for the olympics. well they have finally done so and it was exactly the same one that was shown in the leaked photos. kudos to the designers and i think that it looks great. they will be only using them for this olympics, so if you like the way that it looks go out and get one. part proceeds also go to salish childrens sports, so it has some of that good feel to it (but know that some money goes to vanoc and hockey canada too!).
