David Letterman called it quits this week and here are two performances. First is the Foo Fighters performing Everlong, a song that has personal meaning for Dave and second is Eddie Vedder doing Betterman with the CBS Orchestra.
So the Foo’s have made a new album and a new record called Sonic Highways. It premieres on HBO this friday and it should be really great. I can’t wait to watch it. Here is the trailer.
The Foo Fighters are playing Letterman all week in support of Sonic Highways. They covered Black Sabbath’s War Pigs with Zac Brown. Dave Grohl produced Zac’s last album. Check it out.

Did any one else see the Kennedy Center Honors special on TV the other night? Wow, the tribute to Led Zep was awesome. Here is Heart with Jason Bonham doing Stairway to Heaven. Great version, even Robert Plant shed a tear! And also Foo Fighters doing Rock N’ Roll with Taylor Hawkins out from behind the kit to sing and Davie G smashing the hell out of the drums.
Dave Grohl, on top of being in the biggest rock band in the world, has found time to direct a new doc about the legendary Sound City Studios. If the trailer is anything to go by, this movie will be full of sweet insights into some of the biggest albums of all time.
Soundgarden did a live on Letterman concert stream tonight. They are also on Letterman as the musical guest. While looking it up, I found this Foo Fighters Live on Letterman video.
Fender just released a signature Chris Shiflett guitar and a signature Nate Mendel bass. Both are from the Foo Fighters and thought that they looked pretty cool.
