The game was rather boring but got much better after about 75 minutes. A few curious things happened during the game. The ref blew the 1st half after 44 minutes. Odd?

But finally Eric Hassli scored a wonder goal and keeps cementing his place in Whitecaps lore. No wonder they chant his name when he isn’t on the pitch, when he comes on and when he scores. It was incredible. The 14,000 made just as much noise as a packed house at BC Place after that goal.

Now hopefully they can finish the job next week in Toronto.
